The gowns are chose, the swimsuits are packed and four of our beautiful queens are getting the final few things accomplished and ready for the Miss South Carolina USA and MIss South Carolina Teen USA Pageant at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. Jill Perry, Lauren Rickabaugh, Michaela Campbell and of course Karmen Roller have been slammed with preparations for this huge event since the day they were crowned. A lot of hard work and energy goes into preparation for a pageant like this one. Since they are judged in three categories, swimsuit, evening gown and interview, these four have been in the gym working hard to make their bodies rock hard, practiced their interview skills with people like Kathy Cobb and Angela Hughes Singletary as well as local television personalities and newspaper reporters and of course Don Baker, and with the help of Gregory Ellenberg, Catz, Dazzles, Brittany's House of Elegance and of course Foxy Lady, chosen just the right gowns and jewelry to hopefully take them to the number 1 spot and the State crown. On Thursday night our Folly Beach/Edisto Beach Family will come together once again at Smokey Bones in North Charleston to wish our girls the best of luck. The contestants, members of the Board of Directors, former titleholders and family and friend will all be there. Please feel free to join us also. On Friday the girls will get a chance to size up their competition as they all register and get into their rooms. Here they will find out who they get to room with and the schedule for the next two days. After their initial meeting with the RPM group and their parents, they wil rehearse until time to get ready for the preliminary night where all of the contestants will compete in Swimsuit and Evening Gown. Saturday Mornign fins the girls getting ready for what most call the most difficult part of a pageant which is the interview with the judges. After interviews that m orning, the girls will eat, rehearse and that night the pageant will begin with the naming of the top 15, 10 and the final five and finally the winner who will go on to the Miss USA Pageant or Miss Teen USA Pageant representing the State of South Caolina. Lets all wish these four beautiful ladies the best of luck and maybe bring home that State Crown.     |
